| Subject: IN REGARDS TO ONLINE FIGHTS AND FLAMING (IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ)! 12/16/2008, 21:30 | |
| We all know the internet is obviously a very vast place. Millions of different people use the internet every day, and chances are, you are going to run in to someone you don't like at some point.
If this happens, here are some tips for handling it:
* Tell the person, calmly, you don't want to talk to them. Do not insult them on purpose or provoke them. Or the better option... * IGNORE THEM! This is the internet, not your office at work. It is a LOT easier to ignore someone on the internet than it is in real life. There should be no excuse for constant bickering and fighting between users who are just fighting through a computer screen. It's a waste of energy, makes you look stupid, and will probably have you end up getting banned for 3 - 14 days. We don't want that, you don't want that, so please... be nice to each other, or don't talk at all. I consider you all ADULTS and I expect you to deal with matters such as this like adults.
IF YOU SEE ANY OF THIS GOING ON AND IT IS DISTURBING OTHER USERS...
* PLEASE LET A MODERATOR OR AN ADMINISTRATOR KNOW! You may PM us and just tell us where the dispute is going on, and we will take care of it. We will not release your username or anything of the sort, it will be completely anonymous if you are just giving us a head's up. We will clean up the mess as best we can and either talk to the users or ban them, depending on what it said/ what is going on. Moderators can NOT be looking at every single post 24/7, we are all busy and will do the best we can, but there will come a time where we will probably miss something, so you need to let us know so we can take care of it to keep this place a nice place to be in.
Thank you for your understanding. | |
